Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Operation Theatre Assistant to join our healthcare team in Nadiad. The candidate will be responsible for assisting surgeons, nurses, and anesthetists during surgical procedures, ensuring proper sterilization of instruments, maintaining OT hygiene, and providing overall support in the smooth functioning of the operation theatre.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare the operation theatre before surgeries, ensuring all equipment and instruments are sterilized and ready.

Assist surgeons, anesthetists, and nursing staff during surgical procedures.

Handle and pass surgical instruments as per the surgeon’s instructions.

Maintain strict aseptic and sterile conditions in the OT.

Clean and disinfect OT after every surgery as per hospital protocol.

Safely store and maintain surgical instruments and OT equipment.

Transport patients to and from the operation theatre when required.

Ensure availability of required medical supplies and report shortages to the concerned authority.

Support the surgical team in emergency situations.

Qualifications & Skills:

Diploma / Certification in Operation Theatre Technology (OT Technician/Assistant) or equivalent.

Previous experience as OT Assistant/Technician preferred.

Knowledge of sterilization techniques, surgical instruments, and OT protocols.

Ability to work in high-pressure and emergency situations.

Strong attention to detail, discipline, and teamwork.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.
